And do as adversaries do in law,
Strive mightily, but eat and drink as friends.
The Taming Of The Shrew Act 1, scene 2, 269–277
I have respect for almost all lawyers, with very few exceptions. But, as Shakespeare penned above, I have no problems sharing my opinions and positions with these attorneys and otherwords “striving mightily” as adversaries in the law. But I do not, will not, and have not made legal arguments personal against another attorney. I will strongly disagree with their opinions, evaluations, analyses, and presentation of facts, but that’s all part of the profession. They will do the same. But I will respect them for doing a heck of a job presenting their side of the case and for being the kind of attorney their client deserves pays for.
